An international version of the full-length G.I. Joe trailer arrived online yesterday, but we decided to wait a little while longer for the domestic trailer — and here it is, courtesy of MySpace. A lot of these web guys make me laugh; some of them think Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is Epic OMG FTW Awesome, but then crap on G.I. Joe by calling it silly, lame and a waste of time. Truthfully, it’s apples and oranges to me — they’re both big-budgeted boxes of popcorn entertainment that don’t promise to be anything more than “Wow, that looked pretty cool.”
And since yesterday brought the new trailer for Transformers 2, it’s kinda fitting that today we get the new one for G.I. Joe — since they’re both based on ’80s toy lines, they both feature more explosions than I care to count and they both feature good guys battling the kind of bad guys who are hell-bent on destroying EVERYTHING! (Except, when it comes to G.I. Joe, they seem to be going after the French first.) Anyway, check out the G.I. Joe trailer below, and let us know what you think (you’ve probably already figured out my favorite part …).
G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra
Having watched the trailer for G.I. Joe a few times now, I still don’t know what to think. Does it look really cool, or really stupid? I just can’t tell! It definitely has its moments and, if the film can avoid an excess of cheesy dialogue, it could be one of the better popcorn flicks of summer.

Wolverine review - The reviews are streaming in for “X-Men Origins: Wolverine,” which we’d bet money will be the weekend’s No. 1 movie.
Here’s what Trevan McGee, Web producer for Ink magazine, has to stay. Read more of Trevan’s stuff here.
Plot: The fourth movie from the “X-Men” franchise follows Logan on his journey from young boy with unknown powers to the events that lead up to “X-Men.” He meets several mutants new and old, including a young Gambit and an even younger Cyclops.

Battle for Terra is an earnest animated tale of war and peace in outer space, augmented by captivating 3-D images.
The dialogue is full of clichés — “Lock and load, people. It’s crunch time” — but the environmentalist message is heartfelt. Some battle sequences look like a pastel-colored video game, but Battle is ambitious.
The opening images introduce the planet of Terra, where the peaceful inhabitants live gravity-defying lives filled with art and music. Mala (Evan Rachel Wood) flies around with best pal Senn (Justin Long).
When Terra is invaded by humans, and Mala’s father (Dennis Quaid) is abducted, she goes into fierce mode. She lures Jim (Luke Wilson), a pilot and soldier from the Earthforce Army, into a crash, then rescues him, and learns that the belligerent humans are the last of their species after Earth’s natural resources were depleted.

You genre fans ready to watch giant robots blow shit up again? If your answer is yes, you’ll be happy to hear that the latest trailer for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen has officially appeared online courtesy of Paramount, DreamWorks and Yahoo Movies. The studios let us know earlier in the week that the trailer would be appearing this afternoon but bootleggers still found a way to spread a recording with terrible quality. Here’s your chance to see it as it should be. You can check it out in the video player below or in HD here. Or you can just wait and watch it in theaters since it will be attached to the May blockbusters which have begun invading theaters this weekend with the release of X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
The sequel stars Shia LaBeouf, Megan Fox, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, Kevin Dunn, Julie White, John Benjamin Hickey, Ramon Rodriguez, Isabel Lucas and John Turturro. Director Michael Bay was once again in charge of filming the explosive action, based on a screenplay by Ehren Kruger, Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman.
Plot Concept: In the highly-anticipated “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen,” debuting June 24, 2009, Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf) again joins with the Autobots® against their sworn enemies, the Decepticons®. Michael Bay directs from a screenplay written by Ehren Kruger & Roberto Orci & Alex Kurtzman.

The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen: Century #1
From: Top Shelf
Writer: Alan Moore
Art: Kevin O’Neill
What if, underneath it all, Alan Moore’s just trying to tell us that he really likes jazz? That’s one of the questions that occurred to me during the reading of Century: 1910, the latest installment of The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. This notion presents itself as the story is suffused with characters from The Threepenny Opera (itself written to be performed by a jazz combo), which in its tunes contains lyrical allusions to favorite themes of Moore (like a black pirate ship, among others). Then again, and possibly more frightening, maybe this book is what it looks like when Alan Moore is just having . . . a good time?
When we last saw this League, it was in the pages of the Black Dossier. I enjoyed that book, but at the time that I reviewed it, I wondered if the presentation had more to do with Moore and O’Neill pleasing themselves (what with the Fanny/Tijuana Bible insert and the 3D section) over the delivery of a story. This time out, they eschew those extras and drive forward with the first of three new 72-page installments in the Century “arc”. Granted, there is one funny recurring gimmick (befitting the influences of Threepenny and The Beggar’s Opera, characters are wont to burst into song), but it’s not as obtrusive as the previous inserts or that volume’s apparent preoccupation with depicting lots of sex (must have been Lost Girls hangover).

Obsessed Director: Steve Shill
Writer (WGA): David Loughery (written by)
Release Date: 24 April 2009 (USA) more
Genre: Drama | Thriller more
Obsessed Plot:
A successful asset manager, who has just received a huge promotion, is blissfully happy in his career and in his marriage. But a temp worker starts stalking him, all the things he’s worked so hard for are placed in jeopardy.
Obsessed Comments:
Derek Charles (Idris Elba), a successful asset manager who has just received a huge promotion, is blissfully happy in his career and in his marriage to the beautiful Sharon (Beyoncé Knowles). But when Lisa (Ali Larter), a temp worker, starts stalking Derek, all the things he’s worked so hard for are placed in jeopardy. Hard work was made on this movie but it wasn’t worth it. Ali Larter and Beyonce Knowles should have known better than to accept a role in this movie. First of all the cast was iffy and the plot was like so many other movies out there. So what i believe we should do is to wait for it to come to DVD because this was a waste of very good money. Obsessed 3/10

A trailer for “H2″, Rob Zombie’s sequel to his 2007 remake of “Halloween”, will premiere on Yahoo! Movies today (Friday, April 24) for one week. The new movie, which opens on August 28, completed filming two weeks ago and takes place minutes after the ending of the first one.
Rob Zombie spoke with FangoriaOnline.com on April 8 about writing and directing “H2″, which was shot near Atlanta, Georgia. Already controversial to fans is the revelation that serial killer Michael Myers spends nearly 75 percent of the movie not wearing his iconic mask. Zombie acknowledged that he’s taking more creative liberties this time, saying, “This is not a remake of (1981’s) ‘Halloween II’; this is totally my thing, my story. After I made‘Halloween’, I was totally burned out. I said I’d never make a sequel. But after every record, every tour, I say the same thing.”

‘Obsessed’ review
Successful businessman Derek (top-billed Idris Elba) is happily married to former assistant Sharon (Beyoncé Knowles) and doesn’t seem to have a care in the world. Until he meets sexy new office temp Lisa (Ali Larter), who likes her martinis “filthy” and sets her sights on Derek like a hunter after her prey. If you think Sharon’s going to take that lying down, you need to see more movies. Or at least watch the commercial for this one.

Nikki Reed was a small part of Twilight the movie, yet seems to have heavily impressed Twilight mega hunk Robert Pattinson. Twilight is built on the chemistry between Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, with Nikki Reed lending support as Rosalie Hale,
Edward Cullen’s adopted vampire sister. Now, as filming for New Moon starts, Nikki Reed is now right in the middle of the Twilight gossip scene, with reports that she and Robert Pattinson are together.
Reports from gossip websites have spread that Reed and Pattinson have been secretly dating on and off the Twilight: New Moon set. Lainey Gossip reported that Reed and Pattinson were together through much of last weekend, and hung out together after the Juno Awards.
