Four “probable swine flu cases” have been identified at the University of Delaware, state health officials announced this evening.
The four University of Delaware students — none of whom recently traveled to Mexico — have flu symptoms that meet the probable definitions for swine flu, Dr. Paul Silverman, associate deputy director for health information & science of the Division of Public Health, said in a statement. The State Division of Public Health is submitting samples from the four cases to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to determine if they are cases of swine flu.

The students, who are experiencing mild flu-like symptoms, were treated Monday at the university’s Student Health Services. The Division of Public Health received the preliminary test results confirming the probable cases this afternoon, conducted interviews with the students and classified the cases as probable swine flu.
Confirmation will have to come from the CDC, though health officials were uncertain how long that will take.
All four began experiencing symptoms between Friday and Sunday, Division of Public Health spokesman Jay Lynch said. Only one had recently traveled to an area where other suspected cases have been identified, he said. That student was in New Jersey during University of Delaware’s spring break, March 28 to April 5.
No other information about the students or their recent activities was available today. (Read that article here)

I go to the University of Delaware, so I am aware of everything that is going on regarding the possible cases of swine flu. I would just like to point out however, that in this article it clearly states that the CDC has not yet confirmed the cases, yet the title of this article is “Swine Flu University of Delaware – 4 Students Confirmed With Swine Flu Symptoms”. This is contradictory and incorrect and it should be fixed immediately.
