New Yorkers to 1010 WINS: Human Cloning Is Wrong

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — You would expect human cloning to be unpopular in the Bible belt, but even here in sophisticated Midtown Manhattan 1010 WINS’ reporter John Montone was unable to find many supporters of the controversial medical experiment.

The issue of human cloning became a hot topic again this week when Panayiotis Zavos, a fertility specialist who runs clinics in Kentucky and Cyprus, claimed he cloned 14 embryos and placed them into 11 different women.

“What’s to say man couldn’t reproduce another Hitler or a Jeffrey Dahmer,” one man tells 1010 WINS.

The procedure likely took place in the Middle East, where cloning is not banned and a documentary-maker apparently filmed the process as evidence. None of the embryo transfers led to a pregnancy.
